	UTW Uniwersytet Trzeciego Wieku The Jagiellonian Third Age University In Krakow is an intercollegiate departament of studies, whose aim is popularize humanities and biomedical sciences among the elderly. Founded in 1982 by the resolution of the Senates of the Jagiellonian University and the then Medical Academy, the TAU undertakes various activities in the field of gerontological preventative treatment. The programme of studies comprises lectures on humanities and biomedical subjects. The Jagiellonian Third Age University in Krakow, by carrying out its programme of lectures and seminars as well as community work, aims not only at popularizing learning, but also at educating in a broader sense of the word: organizing conferences and symposia. www.uj.edu.pl
